Adrija Mukherjee interviewed Bansari Fouzdar regarding the rules of the game.
Interviewer: Do you have the full set of Naksha? Can you tell me how is it played?
Bansari Fouzdar: Naksha, as I mentioned is a 17 pointer game. So it is played by 4 people who have 12 cards each with them. 12 and 4 multiplies to 48 cards. Coming to the cards, there is one where a woman is standing holding a tree branch which is one phota (point?). Two points are two wrestlers, wrestling. Then there is one where a person is horse riding which is 11 points. Then there is also another where two people are riding at the back of an elephant while there is also a cheetah underneath the elephant’s foot which adds up to 12 points. These last two adds up the highest points while 1 to 10 there are many other cards, like sankh adds 4 points. So whoever reaches 17 points wins the game. If someone has two of the elephant cards they win, same goes for the card with the man with the horse. But minimum of 17 points is required. - Creator (dcterms:creator)
